Ekkohaus was born in Greece. he started with classical music education, but after a few years he decided he had enough and he bought his first Roland drum machine and a cheap synthesizer (1996).

He started releasing his music in 2005 after mixing with a small and talented crew of music lovers in London and almost secretly meeting every Tuesday in a Curtain Road basement.

Since then he has worked and collaborated with quality dance music labels such as Moon Harbour, Cargo Edition, Circus Company, 2020 Vision, Morris Audio, Mule, Safari, Liebe Detail, Kolour, Tsuba, Eklo, Multi Vitamins, Serialism, etc.

He has been performing as a live act since 2005 (using a mix of hardware, software and a wide open sound palette) and as Dj since 2001 (vinyls and cd’s).

The last years Ekkohaus has perfomed in special parties like Lokee, Dj’s can dance, and legendary clubs like Fabric, Panoramabar, Watergate, Tresor, Cocoon , Space, Rex, Batofar, Harry Clein, and many less known but equally important parties…..

His sound is built around powerful and manipulating vocals, big bass, shuffly beats, frenzied hats, all in a fine mix between house and techno, and wrapped up with subtle political messages…

Timelessness and innovation – both poles can be unified in house music. For 10 years now Norman Weber and Marco Resmann have been living out their love for house together both at the turntables and in the studio as Luna City Express.

Music and nightlife inspired both of them from early on. Norman often accompanied his father, a musician and DJ, on tour where absorbed a melting pot of party music, from Funk and Disco to HipHop and Acid Jazz. At 14 he heard his first Chicago House Mix on tape – a musical revelation and the beginning of his subsequent career.

For Marco discovering electronic music happened in the early 90’s in a friend’s basement studio where he first started delving into drum machines and synthesizers. What followed was a rapid journey through producing all the imaginable variations of electronic music as they occurred in Berlin in the 90’s. In 1999 Marco set up his Audiogain studio and established himself as a producer, producing as a solo artist under the pseudonym Phage and also in projects like Pan/Pot or Phage & Daniel Dreier, releasing on labels like Mobilee, Klang Elektronik and Highgrade. In 2007 he founded the label Upon You with Marcus Meinhardt and Hawks Grunert.

At a millennium party in Italy Norman and Marco crossed paths for the first time and clicked immediately – two house nerds had found each other. When Norman moved from Jena to Berlin they began to play as a DJ team, organised own parties and produced their first tracks together, a mixture of Downbeat, TripHop and Deep House.

In 2004 for the 10 year anniversary of the legendary Thuringian club Muna, Norman and Marco for the first time produced under the name Luna City Express – and till this day still feel closely connected to the club as well as Sonne Mond Sterne festival where they continue to perform year after year. One year later they released two very succesful EPs on Moon Harbour – “Fresh” (6th in Groove Charts) and “White Russian”. Both tracks became club hits, laying a blueprint for how classic and contemporary house could sound in the new millennium.

Beside remixes and releasing on labels like Justified Cause and Enliven Music, Moon Harbour has truly become the home of Luna City Express, and at the same time they’ve played an essential part in developing the label’s sound. Together they mixed the second volume of the well-known “Moon Harbour Inhouse” compilation series, and release their debut artist album “Hello From Planet Earth” in autumn 2009. The album brings together 14 outstanding tracks – from techno to experimental, going from euphoric to quiet moments. It’s an eclectic album, not just for the club, and is all held together by the unique Luna City Express house vibe. And so it’s no surprise that every weekend they get to share that vibe to fans across Germany, Europe and the rest of the world.

Described as ‘ambitious, tireless and ferociously dedicated’, rising star Chris Lattner certainly appears to be a pioneering individual with an undeniable talent for infectious house grooves.

Born in Hannover in 1972, Chris grew up surrounded by the sounds of his parent’s disco music. They further encouraged his ambitions on his sixteenth birthday with a set of Technics 1210’s, unsurprisingly; it wasn’t too long before he started to spin records out and about. In 1990 he managed to organise one the first ever techno parties in Hannover, which went on to feature the likes of Carl Cox, West Bam, and Ricardo Villalobos.

Ten years later in the year 2000, Chris decided to take a break and went to reside in Leipzig for a few years before moving to Berlin and rejoining the music scene in 2004 to host ‘The sound of Berlin’, on one of the first internet radio stations courtesy of Australia’s Pulse Radio.

It was around this time that Chris also started to produce his own music, 2008 saw his debut release ‘Hypnotoad’ on WBA-Records. A year later, his finest moment to date surfaced when Einmaleins label owner Eik signed his first EP “Definition” in Feb 2009 with “Limbo Taxi” following a month on.

A succession of successful remixes and features followed; “Two In One” in the company of Dan Drastic on Moon Harbours Inhouse Vol. 3, a remix of Pawas ‘s “Mac Dub” on UK label Fear of Flying, not forgetting “African Children” on Loco Dice’s ‘The Lab’ complation in April 09.

November see’s forthcoming material on Luna Records as well as the landmark 50th release on Einmalens, with remixes to look forward to from Bearweasel, Justin Drake and Pezner- 2010 looks set to be a very busy year for Chris Lattner.

I can’t remember a time without the strains of soul music drifting through our house. With both parents coming from Barbados I was brought up very much in tune with a natural party ethos that went hand in hand with a love of good music. My earliest musical memories are of Booker T and the MGs, Aretha Franklin and, of course the great Elvis, and I used to hijack my parents collection of 70?s soul 45?s and get the whole family grooving round the lounge! I guess the early signs were there – my passion for music combined with an over-whelming desire to entertain as many people as possible.

By 10 I had well and truly caught the bug and was spending every bit of my pocket money on soul and funk records. I got my first pair of decks (just the 2!) by the age of 15 and I started to play as many parties as I could, discovering that I could buzz off a crowd whilst funding my habit at the same time. As the 70?s became the 80?s I followed the musical trend from soul to disco to hip-hop but it wasn’t really until I moved to Brighton in 1986 that I discovered, along with so many others, the pure thrill of acid house.

The ‘Summer Of Love’ was special for me in more ways than one. It was at the Sunrise rave on the outskirts of London in 1988 that I had had my biggest breakthrough yet. I was already something of a regular on the infamous M1/Orbital rave circuit but it was at Sunrise that I had the idea to hook up a third deck. At 10.30am on a hazy Sunday morning I managed to tempt 15,000 partied out ravers back onto their weary feet and kick the party back into action – it was an amazing experience- and since then my phone has not stopped ringing with offers for ‘The 3 Deck Wizard’. I was fortunate enough to participate in many of the events that have gone down in history as defining moments in the history of UK club culture, such as playing the opening night at Rampling’s legendary Shoom, running The Project with Oakie as well as holding a residency at Brighton’s ZAP club.

With my reputation as a DJ well and truly secured I was able to turn my attentions towards producing. Initially signing to Perfecto I had my first hit in 1992 with ‘I Want You’ and, believe me, no one was more surprised than me when I found myself performing on Top Of The Pops when my record peaked at number 23 in the UK charts!!

Martinez, by birth Martin Swanstein, was born in 1981 and raised in the southernmost part of Sweden. At an early age he discovered Techno and House Music. Since he already played various instruments it was a natural progression to begin producing music himself. He also got into DJing, started hunting down Techno records and got into mixing. At this time Martinez was too young to attend clubs, so instead he arranged his own Techno & House parties on the beach just on the seaside of Helsingborg, with himself and friends as DJs.

Some years later a demo tape earned him the opportunity to develop his production skills in the Wrong Steps Studio in Stockholm, where he coproduced some of his own tracks together with the French producer Manuel Perez. Since Martin still went to school this time, the work had to be scheduled for the holidays. One of these early tracks later appeared as “Late Night Groove” on Martin’s debut 12? on the Swedish label Deeplay Music.

Iin 2010 Martinez released his third album “The Paradigm Shift” on Moon Harbour Recordings. On this album Martinez rides the perfect balance between Dancefloor and Chillout tunes. Mainly influenced by Chicago House, “The Paradigm Shift” also covers Techno, Breakbeat and dubby Downtempo sounds.

Martinez also has great deck skills and this, along with impeccable taste, has given him a strong DJ reputation worldwide. He often is to be seen in the booths of various quality clubs and parties around the globe. He’s played together with major DJs such as Michael Mayer, Miss Kittin, Guido Schneider, Onur Özer, Loco Dice and Sven Väth, in clubs such as Weetamix in Geneva, Amnesia and Space in Ibiza, Nitsa in Barcelona, Cocoon in Frankfurt and Panorama Bar in Berlin, to name a few.

Ever an energetic actor in the electronic music scene, Montreal based artist Guillaume Coutu Dumont maintains numerous collaborative projects, performing regularly in his hometown and around the world. Driven by his passion for hybrid forms of musical expression, Guillaume continues on his quest for the ultimate ham bone funk recipe with his solo project: Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts a special blend of funk, house, techno, gospel, swing and afro-beat. His first album FACE À L’EST was released in 2007 on Musique Risqué and the second BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL in May 2010 on the French imprint Circus Company. So far, his solo outputs are available on MUTEK_rec, Musique Risquée, Hartchef Discos, Floppy Funk, OSLO, Raum Musik and on French labels Circus company and Karat.

Guillaume’s initial musical forays were as a percussionist in a funk band, after which he studied latin and classical percussions in college before discovering electro-acoustic composition, which he pursued further at university. It was during this period that he joined [iks], a contemporary jazz formation with whom he recorded two albums and toured for several months in Senegal. Upon his return to Montreal, Guillaume decided to focus his efforts on composition.

Influenced as much by concrete music as by techno, which he discovered one night in the midst of a lightning storm, Guillaume founded Egg (MUTEK_rec, Karat, Floppy Funk), Luci (MUTEK_rec, Morris Audio), Chic Miniature (Raummusik, Musique Risquée), Flabbergast (MUTEK_rec), as well as the artistic collective Racam. He has toured with one or another of these projects in north/south America, Europe and Asia. Since January 2007, Guillaume has reached European soil. Like many other, he chose Berlin as his new home base. Traveling all around the block, he’s always looking to get the dance floors grinning with guilty pleasure. C’MON NOW SHAKE THAT ASS!
