Rhythmatic Intimate Sessions
3rd March 2012 // 11PM – 6:00AM
@
????Secret East London Location (Limited capacity)????
Herodot (Sunrise / Bucharest)
Stathis Lazarides (Rhythmatic, Cavo Paradiso)
Wesley Razzy (Rhythmatic)
Archie Hamilton (Rhythmatic, Moscow Records)…. And we continue our Romanian assault with our second Romanian guest, Herodot, on the 3rd March for another intimate session in an intimate environment.
Rhythmatic Intimate Sessions is becoming a regular feature in the capital, showcasing some of the most talented artists the electronic scene has to offer.
Our last 2 events have been completely sold out and we can’t wait for this upcoming party with Herodot. Herodot is one of the new talents of the Sunrise Rooster. He started his music journey in 2004 together with his good friends El Cezere and Kozo. He developed an accurate yet dynamic style, strongly influenced by Rhythm & Sound, Cadenza, Rhadoo, Cypher Hill and Zip. In 2006 he got involved in organising parties under the brand Dot Music. Herodot has shared decks with the likes of Marco Carola, Ryan Crosson, Magda, Barem, Onur Ozer, plus many more. During the last year, he has focussed on production and the first success already came as his colleagues RPR sound included his song on their mix for Circoloco’s 10th Anniversary CD. And he’s promised he won’t stop there.
Finally Herodot will be joined by our resident Stathis Lazarides, Archie Hamilton and Wesley Razzy. Remember the vibe and atmosphere at our last party with Fabio Giannelli and Priku… Not to be missed.

?Secret East London Location (Limited capacity)?
Priku (Arpriar /Sunrise / RO)
Stathis Lazarides (Rhythmatic, Cavo Paradiso)
Archie Hamilton (Rhythmatic, Moscow Records)
Ceri (Rhythmatic)Rhythmatic’s sister party, Rhythmatic Intimate Sessions, has showcased some of the most talented and uprising artists since its launch 2 years ago. With names and talent such as Fabio Giannelli, Den Ishu, Gavin Herlihy, Chris Carrier, M.in, Patrick Kunkel, Gorge, Kreon, Lemos – the list goes on!
At our last gathering for 2011 “Rhythmatic Intimate Sessions” hosted their very first party at an intimate basement venue after holding a monthly residency at Cargo for over a year. No one expected it to be so good, but our residents (Stathis, Wesley and Archie) did a great job keeping the crowd eager for more and made sure it went off with a bang by the time Fabio Giannelli came on and sent the whole venue into a frenzy.
Rhythmatic Intimate Sessions is back on the 4th Feb, with a very special guest from Romania, Priku, who is debuting at our first party for 2012.
Priku played together with most of the Romania talents and also the warm up sets for Marco Carola, Zip, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Troy Pierce, Pascal FEOS, Cassy etc. The summer of 2008 brought him his first international gigs, in Ibiza, Italy, UK, Belgium, Kazantip and many others. Producing is the next step that Priku wants to make and he is working really hard in this direction. In 2009 his first ever release came out on Sinusoid Records label in Italy.
Priku will be joined by our residents, Stathis Lazarides and Archie Hamilton and we welcome back to our decks, Ceri, a young talented lady that will be a regular feature on our nights. Looking forward to seeing you all at our first Rhythmatic Intimate Session for 2012.

On Saturday 26th November one of our favourite promoters, Rhythmatic turned another year older. The London based party has made a name for itself on the underground scene for its loyalty to good music and good times. Having seen collaborations with international names and artists including Marco Carola, Davide Squillace and Luca Bacchetti with their Hideout brand and Matthias Tanzmann with the mighty Moon Harbour, there was definitely excitement in the air for the 4th birthday celebrations.
This year Double Trouble Productions teamed up with 28BLACK to put together something special for the anniversary bash. The event was advertised as a ‘secret warehouse East London location’ with attendees notified of the location just a couple of days before, giving the party a more exclusive feel. The night started by joining the lovely Livio and Roby for a few drinks to talk our favourite music, festivals and countries to groove. The guys were genuine, we had a laugh and they promised us magic behind the decks. We all made our way to the venue at around half past one to get Livio and Roby there for their set, but also so we could get grooving with our Rhythmatic buddies! We arrived at Netil House in Hackney (E8), to an already bustling building and growing queue. You could hear the music coming from a way down the road, suggesting the residents (Stathis Lazarides, Wesley Razzy and Archie Hamilton) had things kicking off from the very start. There were tonnes of smiling and friendly faces as we came through the doors, I could tell the night was going to have good vibes all round. Stathis Lazarides was on the decks to ease us in and I couldn’t help but start half dancing with a casual ‘dance-walk’ that we all do as we go from the entrance to dancefloor. We said hello to our favourite twins (Kiri and Kostas) the Rhythmatic promoters that never fail to get anyone pumped up and ready to rave with their happy energy. The warehouse was quite a large space, with pillars throughout and an easy to get to bar. Nothing bores me more than long bar queues, especially when all you want to be doing is stepping it out on to the dancefloor.
The Romanian pair Livio & Roby (Desolat) produced a set of heavy techno beats for the evening. The pumping sounds received a good reaction from the crowd, with fists and cheers throughout. The Turkish talent, Onur Ozer (Cocoon) took to the turntables next for probably the most anticipated set of the evening. Again his set sat more on the techno side of things, with harder beats and a pace to push the audience through to the early hours. This harder techno sound did seem to suit the more open, four-walled space of Netil House as it filled the gaps between people and pillars. I must admit, I do like a venue to be a little more like a rabbit warren that I can weave around and explore. But, the vibes of the night more than made up for this and I have to note, the drink prices were very reasonable. It will be interesting though, to see the warehouse location selected for the next event.

From the feedback I’ve had everyone seems to have had a ‘proper right good time’. It was full of people who really appreciated the music and so, were there for the right reasons. As well as lots of those recognisable faces in attendance from the ‘Rhythmatic family’ to give it that extra boost. The after-party also made it easy enough for people to carry on the fun, which is always a bonus if you’re just not ready to go home at 6am (and many weren’t, as I hear this went off as much as the main event!) So all that’s left to say is, Happy 4th Birthday Rhythmatic, I’ll be seeing you again very soon!

We are back for our final installment, but this time we thought we should make it a little intimate and special since it is going to be one big night for our Residents. 2011 has seen Rhythmatic bring some of the most iconic labels and brands to London – from the first 24 hour party in London with our good friends at Moon Harbour to the first Hideout showcase in London with Davide Squillace, and of course the Cavo Paradiso party (who would forget that night). It has been one long journey and we are looking forward to finishing 2011 off with this great line up.
On the 10th December, we will be celebrating two very special birthdays; our residents’ Wesley Razzy and Archie Hamilton. They have been pioneering our sound for the last few months and they have supported us from day one so it’s only right that we throw them a party to remember. Of course, a Rhythmatic party wouldn’t exist without our longest serving resident, Mr Stathis Lazarides who has been the backbone of the Rhythmatic sound since day one.
Our party wouldn’t be a special one without a special guest so for Wesley and Archie’s birthday, we bring Fabio Giannelli from Supplement Facts and Supernatural to London. He first played for Rhythmatic nearly two years ago and truly rocked our event. We can’t wait to have him back.
Italian born Fabio Giannelli started DJing aged 13. Influenced at an early age by the new electronic sounds he was hearing, Fabio bought his first sequencer at the age of 18 and began to get more seriously involved in music. In 2006 he officially entered the music scene with his first official release and garnered big support from DJs including: Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Laurent Garnier and many more. Continuously renewing himself and with an eclectic spirit that means he has had work featured on labels such as Supernature, Bangbang, Thirtyonetwenty, Supplement Facts, OFF, International Freakshow and found the time to launch his own label, District Raw. A lot of new stuff is coming so stay tuned…
Come and celebrate Wesley and Archie turning another year older with Stathis Lazarides and Fabio Gianelli. Saturday 10th December – it’s going to be a special one.

Rhythmatic 4th Anniversary
@
Secret Warehouse East London Location
26 November 2011 // 10PM – 6AM
Featuring
Onur Özer (Cocoon)
Livio & Roby (Desolat)
Stathis Lazarides (Rhythmatic, Cavo Paradiso)
Wesley Razzy (Rhythmatic)
Archie Hamilton (Rhythmatic)It’s been four years since London’s international party throwers, Rhythmatic, began producing some of the UK’s must-visit parties. Since, they’ve had the pleasure of featuring some of the worlds finest electronic musicians including Davide Squillace and Matthias Tanzmann with UK exclusive b2b’s, Radoo, Petre Inspirescu, System Of Survival, Luna City Express, Martinez, Lopazz, and Carl Cox during southern European tours – the list goes on. Last year Marco Carola came to celebrate their third birthday in a rare London warehouse appearance, still talked about today. Featured in Mixmag during a Marco Carola interview almost a year later, and hailed by the man himself as “One of the best parties I played at in 2011” on Resident Advisor – it’s not unrealistic to say that Rhythmatic have produced some outstanding occasions.
Having spent 2011 busying themselves putting on parties for international brands and artists including Davide Squillace and Luca Bacchetti’s Hideout, Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon harbour imprint, Grecian marvel – Cavo Paradiso and also putting on Rhythmatic only parties along the way, the team are ready with 28BLACK to close their third year and begin their fourth with yet another bang. Introducing superfine production, expertly tailored sound and quirky venue choice, Rhythmatic have been toiling & boiling with their home-made trouble to once again create something that little bit special.
The team have spent the past four years composing line-ups to perfection, and this year is no different. Bringing world favourite, Cocoon’s Onur Özer, and the incredible duo, Livio & Roby from Desolat to the table, the promise of yet another enthralling party is once again lingering in the Rhythmatic air. The same goes for their residents who have spent the years nurturing the Rhythmatic sound and keeping the intimate sessions alive, the fourth birthday will proudly presents the Rhythmatic residents; Stathis Lazarides, Wesley Razzy and Archie Hamilton.
Rhythmatic has been built on a promise and personal obligation to bring underground music revelry to an intimate place to carve unforgettable memories, all finely tuned by an illustrious atmosphere, originality, quirk and a great crowd. Join us in creating another memory for the London party books. Are you ready?

Rhythmatic Intimate Sessions
8PM – 3AM // 22nd Oct 2011
With
Chris Carrier (Freak N’ Chic, Bass Culture)
Stathis Lazarides (Rhythmatic, Cavo Paradiso)
Wesley Razzy (Rhythmatic)
Archie Hamilton (Rhythmatic, Moscow Records)Rhythmatic Intimate Sessions is back to what it does best – creating unique and intimate Sessions wherever they have been booked to play. Our next instalment is taking place at Cargo with a very special debut by Chris Carrier.
There are two kinds of DJs: those whose goal is to make a name for themselves and those whose goal is to make music – and let the rest follow. Parisian Chris Carrier is among the latter. For more than a dozen years he’s been an underground icon, churning out more than one hundred records and remixes for a host of labels. Too busy working to chase a spot in the limelight; Carrier is nevertheless rightly revered as one of the most gifted, prolific producers on the dance scene.
Refusing to restrict his output to one genre or one school of thought, Carrier has dabbled freely in everything from house to hip hop, drum ‘n’bass to minimal, techno to electro. Most DJ’s have one label – if at all – but Chris is so restlessly creative he’s founded a whole fistful of labels over the course of his career, including the renowned Adult Only imprint, Chronobrain, Combustible, Taka, X86 and Direct Art. He has also worked under more than a fifteen aliases. Chris is an artist who refuses to be pigeonholed or to conform to a bland “career plan.” Growing up in Paris, his father, a keyboardist, provided his early musical inspiration, along with heroes like Quincy Jones and AC/DC.
Stathis Lazarides, Rhythmatic and Archie will all be there in full force, making sure to keep you on your toes before Chris Carrier takes over the Rhythmatic decks.

Two EPs on Cocoon, two EPs on Cadenza and tracks and remixes for Get Physical, Buzzin Fly, Leftroom, Supernature and Kindisch are just some of the milestones in his career as a producer so far. Now living in Leeds, the Irish born, one time Londoner and recent Berliner is an established player on the global DJ circuit. With line-ups of some of the best European DJ talent they gained a reputation as a new innovating party for house and techno heads and party people alike in Belgium.

Rhythmatic Intimate Session
With
Gorge (8bit, katchuli)
Wesley Razzy (Rhythmatic)
Ceri
Eline De Boer3PM – 3AM // Cargo London
What a year it’s been already for Rhythmatic, 12 parties in less than 6 months and we had everyone from Hideout showcase to Moon Harbour showcase, Cavo Paradiso to Weplayminimal, and we have used every underground space London has to offer from Hewett Car Park to the Leather Factory, Hurn Street to Patterns Cutters. We’ve thrown day parties that go into main parties, then from there into the after party, and of course we’ve had our monthly event at Cargo, where over the last 6 months we have sold out every single night.
Rhythmatic is back on the 30th July with a rather special guest – Gorge. Gorge played for us for our 2nd Birthday party at EGG, and it was a special moment in Rythmatic history, he impressed us with his groove house mix, and the way he kept the Room at full swing from the first record through to the last, and we are so pleased to have him back.
Alongside Gorge, we also have Wesley Razzy, a DJ that over the last few months has played alongside some of the most respected artists that are around – Davide Squillace, Luca Bacchetti, Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts Sacha Dive, Ekkohaus, Chris Lattner, M.in, Den Ishu, just to name a few.
Finally we welcome back Ceri, the lady that has rocked our party back in Jan and she has delivered one of the best warm up sets at the Moon Harbour Showcase, Ekkohaus was rather impressed by Ceri
Gorge (8Bit, Katchuli)
Gorge aka Pit Waldmann finds his deepest roots and home base in the German metropolitan Mannheim where the legendary techno festival “Time Warp” and one of Germany’s leading clubs, the “Loft” are based. These surrounding venues are maybe one of the reasons why the musical passion of Gorge leads to the foundation of the first label imprint called “Amused Records” back in 2004 where his partners Nick Curly and Wolfgang Wahl are also actively involved. A very short period of time later a second platform named “Amused8Bit” with releases of the likes Johnny D, Ray Okpara and SIS already follows.
In 2007 the stylistic tendencies of the two labels become more and more different so that “8 Bit Records” gets a relaunch and new artists like Gruber & Nürnberg, Dubshape, Ali Kuru and also highly profiled projects like Peace Division and Audiofly enter the roster. Since 2008 Nick Curly and Gorge run the label “8 Bit Records” in cooperation together and its sound becomes more and more trendsetting in terms of high quality “Deep House” and “Tech House”.
Some magazines are even talking about the distinctive “Sound of Mannheim” and many influential print medias like Groove Magazine, Raveline and De:Bug release extended features about this sound. With a fine mixture of shuffling groove programming and deep tech house elements Gorge supports Nick Curly’s worldwide success. However since summer of 2008 he also finds enough time to produce records under his own moniker and high profiled record labels as Dennis Ferrer’s “Ojektivity”, “Systematic Recordings”, “Plastic City” and “Freerange” start to sign his music and worldwide best known jocks like Luciano, Steve Bug, Loco Dice and Dennis Ferrer frequently spin his black plastic!
